Owners expect more from their architects. As a firm, you need to constantly stay ahead of your competition by providing more value to your owners. If you are a firm that has already adopted a BIM workflow using Revit, then there are several services you could provide that are in addition to your traditional design services. More and more owners are utilizing the models generated during design to manage their facilities, so how can you - with little more effort - provide models that assist owners with their FM goals. This session will discuss these goals in the context of three areas: space management, asset management, and ongoing renovations. We will review in detail specific steps you can take with your models and related processes to help owners meet their FM goals and how you may be able to not only add value for your owners to help set yourself apart from your competition, but also how you may be able to monetize these services. All the while, doing so without fundamentally changing your business structure or requiring large investments in staff or technology.

Learning Objectives: At the completion of this course, participants will be able to: Understand better the needs of building owners - your clients - related to managing their  facilities and the data they need to do so; See some specific examples of how you can generate additional deliverables utilizing your current technology to help  building owners meet their space management needs as either a one-time  service or a recurring one; Learn about ways your firm can create an  additional service that aggregates project data from the team to provide to  building owners and assist them with their asset management needs after  project completion and handover; and Discover methods your firm can employ to  provide more valuable models to building owners so they can better manage  their renovations.
