The two-story addition along Northern Virginia Street adds 6,600 SF of space to the existing facility. BKV Group develop the exterior site improvements design with the City as they developed the street scape development plan for Park Avenue creating a “City Center” connecting the Library, City Hall and the community center.

In addition, the building features first floor retail space and on-site parking.

I appreciated BKV Group’s willingness to do a lot of work on the front end with our constituents – at times, facilitating, and at other times, giving us the tools to reach our patrons and give them a voice in the process and final design. Each representative I have worked with at BKV Group was very good at listening and incorporating our campus’s ideas. I always felt heard and always got a response. The BKV Group designers and managers seemed to work well with the rest of the team –including library, campus facilities, and all the contractors and subcontractors. The final project is a shining accomplishment and remains a focal point of our campus.
