Change Your Membership Type

Upgrade to Emeritus Membership

Any Architect member may apply for Emeritus status who has been in good standing in the Institute for fifteen successive years immediately prior to his or her application, and either (i) has attained the age of 70, and is retired from the profession of architecture, or (ii) is so incapacitated as to be unable to work in the profession.

If you meet these requirements, please contact Melody Harrison to discuss the steps to elevate.

Submit Member News

AIA|DC accepts member news for the monthly AIA|DC News newsletter. The deadline for Member News is the 1st of the month prior to the issue month. There are 10 issues annually, the June/July and the November/December issues are combined. Please send text of up to 100 words in the email body and any high resolution photos as attachments.

We reserve the right to edit text to fit our format and may cut it down before we publish. Submissions are reserved for, and will only be considered for current members of AIA|DC.

Submit an Event Request for your Committee

Is your AIA|DC Committee planning on hosting an event around town, or at the District Architecture Center? Please fill out our Event Request Form. 

This form must be filled out for every event hosted by your committee no later than FOUR weeks before your event. Please note that committee events are only to be held on Mondays and Tuesdays.
