Program Overview

Do you love buildings – drawing houses, building structures, designing a pillow fort? Architecture is one of the most exciting fields that not only uses all of the STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) but also encourages creative thinking through art and design skills. This 5-day summer camp will use design arts to enhance STEM skills.

For more information about the Summer Camp please contact the Washington Architectural Foundation at (202) 347-9403.

Interested in volunteering?
Our annual summer camp seeks volunteer counselors. This call for volunteers is directed at design professionals, and participation will fulfill professional development service requirements. Volunteers must be comfortable working with kids aged 8-12 and ready to help them design and build a habitat based off of the fundamentals students learn throughout the week. A mandatory orientation session will be held prior to the camp. Individuals interested in either program should fill out a volunteer application
