Architects in the City is a Washington Architectural Foundation program that provides one day service opportunities for AIA|DC members and the general public.

Architects in the City partners with nonprofits organizations like the Capital Area Food Bank and Common Good City Farm for three to four service days each year. Each event is hosted by an AEC industry group. If your firm is passionate about a nonprofit organization in DC and interested in volunteering, then Architects in the City is for you! The host firm helps select the nonprofit, promotes their commitment to the project, and brings a volunteer team. The Washington Architectural Foundation will coordinate with the nonprofit and manage registration.

For more information contact the Washington Architectural Foundation at 202.347.9403 or email Mary Fitch.
