5:30pm - 8:00pm
The AIA|DC Equity Committee by WIELD is hosting its fifth signature WIELD (Women/We Inspire Emerging Leaders in Design) event on October 22nd. We are honored to celebrate the diverse stories of our speakers and their journies to success through a night of virtual storytelling and conversation.
This inclusive and inspiring storytelling event engages diverse industry leaders sharing their stories of empowerment and resilience through the lens of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The stories will highlight how each individual overcame pinch points and career dynamics that hinder career progression while sharing the opportunities that encouraged their growth and success. The underlying objective is to establish meaningful and deep conversations among all emerging professionals and firm leaders from every background, gender, and community about engaging the next generation of leaders in the future of the profession and our communities.
Meet and be inspired by this year’s cohort as they empower and encourage the next generation’s advancement in their professions, as well as those just starting their careers. While the event is virtual this year, we will still have opportunities for our community to engage and learn from fellow emerging and established leaders from across the country!
Please note that this event supports the Barbara G. Laurie Scholarship Fund.
