Experience the new International Spy Museum at L’Enfant Plaza on this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. Join Hickok Cole Architects, the architect of record, as they talk about the building’s iconic design by London-based designers Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners. Along the way, discover stories about espionage with Museum staff as they reference important artifacts on display from the museum’s collection.
This new 140,000-square-foot Museum will be a permanent cultural resource in the nation’s capital with space for educational programming, a lecture hall/theater, and multifunction event space with sweeping views of the city.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the differences in design between the old and new International Spy Museum;
- Explore the design strategies behind maximizing the views of DC;
- Discuss the approach taken by the architects in designing a building focused on secrecy and espionage; and
- Explain the importance of incorporating space for educational programming and multifunctioning event space.
