Theo is the founding partner of the TTR Sotheby’s International Realty team, Theo & Partners ( Before starting a real estate career, he co-owned one of the leading DC-area architecture firms for over 25 years, while maintaining a passion for photography and exhibition design. A graduate of Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York, Theo won many awards for his firm’s designs, ranging from high-end residential to commercial and hospitality projects.

Amanda Healy Cantarella (panelist), BarnesVanze Architects:

Amanda has been an architectural designer with BarnesVanze Architects since 2001, where she leads, scouts, sources, and stages all of BVA’s photo shoots, as well as edits images post-production. Amanda is an Associate with AIA|DC and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the ICAA.

Sharon Jaffe Dan (panelist), Home & Design Magazine:

A native of the DC area, Sharon Jaffe Dan has more than two decades of experience in magazine journalism. After starting off her career at a travel magazine, she joined Home & Design as editor-in-chief in 2002. She is a recipient of the Vicki Wenger FASID Media Award from ASID's Washington Metro Chapter and a graduate of the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Anice Hoachlander (panelist), Hoachlander Davis Photography:

Anice Hoachlander is the founding partner of Hoachlander Davis Photography, LLC. For 25 years, Anice has dedicated her career to the art of photographing architecture and interior design. Her photographs have been featured in over 300 project design awards for both residential and commercial clients and have been published in numerous national and regional magazines.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify strategies that will get your project published – target the right publication for best success;
  • Learn what it takes to prepare for a photo shoot and its various stages – selecting a photographer, walking through a pre-scout and preparing for the final shoot day;
  • Determine how to style your project for dynamic editorial images; and
  • Craft a thoughtful and informative pitch to send to editors.
