Join us for a photography meetup in Dupont Circle, one of the city’s most beautiful and vibrant neighborhoods, with local photographer David Dettloff (@beingdave) who photographs buildings, people, and places with a unique eye. On Instagram, David curates images via @buildings_of_dc and supports instameets with @igdc.
Meet at the fountain in Dupont Circle. Bring your camera or mobile and walk the streets and alleyways with us to capture scenes of urban life. This event occurs rain or shine.
About David Dettloff
In previous lives, Dave drafted maps for engineering, architecture and construction firms, including a stint living in the United Arab Emirates and working in a construction trailer of a pop-up sustainable city in the desert. After arriving in the DMV, he picked a job because it was in a cool autobody shop converted to an office space within walking distance. Looking for creative outlets he found a photo walk and has been on dozens since, exploring new neighborhoods, cameras, and styles to capture the built world around us.
This program is presented in association with #iseeDC2019, on view through June 7, 2019.
