Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the importance of light, views, color, access to nature and ventilation to improve the health and well-being of building occupants.
  • Integrate principles of biophilia in window and door applications within residential architectural design.
  • Reference the science that supports well-being and Biophilic Design.
  • Apply lessons learned from residential case studies where principles of biophilia and well-being are used.

My name is Brooke McGrath and I am the Architectural Project Manager for Marvin Windows and Doors, covering the Metro DC area. As the Architectural Project Manager (APM) for Marvin, I can assist with product training, CEU Lunch & Learns, spec writing, samples, dealer location, custom designs, details etc.

A little about me… I am a long-time resident of Ocean City, MD, but recently relocated to the DC area to represent Marvin in this region. I attained a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017. Through school and for the beginning of my career, I worked for a large east-coast architectural firm, where I specialized in high-end, custom residential, multi-family, hospitality, healthcare and small commercial design.

I strive to deliver careful attention to the small details that support the overall design vision of architects. I provide consistent and thorough communication through the planning and design process to ensure each project conveys the architect’s ideas from concept through to tangible results. From small additions and renovations to larger commercial projects, I am excited to demonstrate how Marvin’s product offerings support & enhance the possibilities of today’s fenestration in all types of architecture.
