Architecture, Equity, and the Pandemic
2020 has been a year of profound changes in the way we view our society, its institutions, and our interactions with the environment. Engage with the city around you and interpret, through a photographic lens, the impact of these changes on buildings, landscapes, and cultural activities. Capture all that inspires you. Organized by the AIA|DC Design Excellence Committee, this contest seeks to inspire interaction between the public and architecture in Washington, DC.
Entries are open to all.
How to Enter:
- Focus on a subject relevant to the theme somewhere in Washington, DC
- Snap a compelling photo!
- Post to Instagram with #iseeDC2020
- Limit 5 images per entrant
Photos will be evaluated on originality, creativity, and visual spirit.
Photos will be judged by a member of the Instagram community, a professional photographer, and a local architect. Judges will select up to 100 images for digital display. Additionally, judges will select 10 favorites for special recognition. Final numbers to be determined.
Entrants whose photos are selected will be contacted by AIA|DC via Instagram.
