Presenter Bio: A pioneer of the sustainability movement, Dr. Barr is the author of three books on the subject and serves as a professor of architecture and urban sustainability at UDC.  As a former Distinguished Visiting Professor at Ball State University, he has taught at Catholic, Howard, Florida, A&M and Kansas and lectured at London, Yale, USC and Singapore Universities. 
Barr has served as the keynote speaker at international professional symposiums, including the Oxford Roundtable on Climate Change. He also has provided expert testimony to the U.S. Congress and serves as an expert witness.
Barr is a former National President of the American Institute of Architects. He earned architecture and planning degrees from the Universities of Ceylon, London, and Kansas, and his Architecture Doctorate in Sustainable Design from the University of Hawaii.
Barr's practice experience includes Cortlandt Medical Center in New York, Eco Maya Homes in Playa del Carmen, Altos Eco Development in Panama, Hilton, Hyatt Regency and Kimpton Hotels
