Are you thinking about starting the ARE? Are you currently in architecture school or recently graduated and want to know more about the path to licensure? Are you in the middle of studying for the ARE and need some motivation? Have you been licensed for a while and want to test your knowledge on the ARE 5.0 exam material or just refresh your general knowledge?
If any of this applies to you, join the Emerging Architects Committee’s ARE Trivia Night! For the duration of the event there will be countless opportunities to network and study at the same time. We will be featuring questions pertinent to the latest exam changes for the ARE 5.0. as well as fun architecture facts.
The DC Architect Licensing Advisor will also be available to answer any questions you might have about kicking off the process. Prizes will be available for the winning team!

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply material from the Practice Management and Project Management divisions of the ARE; including construction contract laws and legal aspects, insurance, laws and regulations, and life safety;
- Explain content from the Programming and Analysis and Project Planning and Design divisions of the ARE including accessibility, building design, energy efficiency, fire safety/detection, and structural issues;
- Explain material from the Project Development and Documentation and Construction & Evaluation divisions of the ARE including: Construction documents and services related to public benefit, life safety codes, materials and MEP systems; and
- Describe and discuss ARE concepts in an informed way and analyze changes made in the ARE 5.0 format. Licensure candidates will be able to identify strengths and weaknesses within exam preparation to more effectively study for the ARE divisions.
