International Women’s Day is a global event dating back 100+ years of celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women’s Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action – whatever that looks like globally at a local level.
WISCH (Women In Schinnerer) in partnership with AIA|DC and Ames & Gough invite you to hear that call to action and join us for a powerful networking event that will follow this year’s theme to “Press for Progress”. Your voice and your story make a difference. What does Progress look like? Progress in our communities, progress in our careers and workplaces, progress in our political process, progress in ourselves.
Join women in the Design Profession for a memorable night of Progress in Action.
Purple is the official color for International Women's Day, which signifies justice and dignity. Let's represent and wear purple on this very special day!
Featured Speaker: Kimberly Churches is CEO of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), a leading voice in advancing equity for women and girls through education, advocacy, philanthropy and research for more than 135 years.
